basic and most fundemental ability all dragons have regardless if they are young or old, different kinds of dragons, but the most basic ability all dragons in here have dragons breath. depending on the element your dragon is from, they have different breaths.
the fire dragon clan- basic attack is the fire breath. like a stereotypical dragon, they breath fire
water dragon clan- basic attack is an ice breath. there can be different variations like breathing or blowing wind at temperatures below freezing to produce ice, or blowing an energy beam that freezes things
air dragon clan- their breaths are different. instead of blowing air, they blow our wind. this wind is far stronger than regular blowing on candles. because they adapted to high altitudes, they learned to conserve their oxygen in their body. and thus when at normal altitudes like at the surface of the planet, they can blow out gusts as strong as tornadoes or hurricanes.
earth dragon clan- since their element is earth, they actually have twi different variations of the breath attack. the first one is a breathing fire, unlike the fire dragons clans breath, the earth dragon clans fire breath is far weaker than the fire dragons and is only used to see in the dark. with constant exposure to darkness their eye sight is often weaker than others. the second variation of their breath is blowing out wind and rock, while they are constantly underground, dust managed to accumulate in their lungs, instead of dying, they adapted their lungs to have smaller pockets to store dust, and compress the particles togather to produce shards of earth that they are able to blow out
